Emissivity
The
measure of the ability of a surface to emit radiant energy compared to that
of a black body of identical area at the same temperature. The range of
unitless values vary from 0.0 (no emittance) to 1.0 (identical to black
body; ideal maximum).
Enthalpy
Also
known as total heat, this term refers to the sum of both sensible and
latent heat in the air.
I-P
units: Btu/lb (of dry air)
Evaporative cooling
Refers
to a constant-enthalpy process in which the addition of latent heat is
offset by the removal of an identical amount of sensible heat from the air.
Evapotranspiration
The
loss of water via evaporation from soil and the transpiration from
vegetation.
