The NEAT Lab is
proud to offer a widening range of educational resources, including in-house
software, specialized building design and analysis equipment, and other
academic services.
Software
Since 2004, the
NEAT Lab has developed a number of advanced, interactive Microsoft Excel
spreadsheet-based software applications to aid in the design and analysis of
passive solar heating and cooling applications.

Design and Analysis Equipment
The NEAT Lab
maintains a selection of both design and building-analysis equipment to aid
in the exploration and research of building energy performance. Lab
equipment such as an Infrared (IR) Camera, Psychrometers, Multimeters, Air
Velocity Meters, and Soundmeters are used for educational, experimental, as
well as building monitoring and diagnostic purposes. The lab also house a
heliodon with photo and video recording capabilities for student and faculty
use on a scheduled basis.
