2010 IMPERATIVE TEACH-IN

Following The 2010 Imperative: Global Emergency Teach-In, the NEAT
Lab will unveil a complimentary free multi-media supplement to the 2010
Imperative. After which a panel will discuss the actions that UNLV students
and faculty can take to make UNLV’s campus carbon neutral. These event
are also free and open to the public.

A multi-media compilation of the Fall 2006 Klai Juba Lecture Series titled,
The 2030 Challenge: Environmental Design in the Face of Climate Change,
will be officially released for reference in the Architecture Studies
Library. Among other features, the DVD-ROM will feature:
• Full-length films of all four guest lectures

Access to various web-based resources to augment environmental design
.
• A
interactive slide-show introducing passive solar design strategies
.
• A
simple Microsoft Excel-based program that can be used to predict the
performance of passive solar design applications
.
•
Published works from Dr. Susan Roaf and the NEAT Laboratory Director,
Professor Alfredo Fernández-González.
The 2030 Challenge DVD-ROM is slated to made available free to the public in
the coming months. Updates will be posted on this web site as soon as they
become available.
