The Rainone Family Scholarship

The Rainone Family Scholarship is presented annually to undergraduate students who exhibit excellence in the academic setting, clinical setting, and community service. Joseph Rainone is a graduate of Clark High School and the UNLV Athletic Training program, a licensed athletic trainer, and a partner in physical therapy clinics throughout Las Vegas. Far West Athletic Trainers Association District 8 Scholarship Awards

The Far West Athletic Trainers Association/District 8 (FWATAD8) currently sponsors eight scholarships available to athletic training students within the FWATA/District 8. Recipients of each scholarship receive a $1,500 monetary award and a plaque. All of the awards are given to promote the education and profession of athletic training as well as to recognize some of the outstanding students who represent the future of the athletic training profession. National Athletic Trainers Association Foundation Scholarship Program

The NATA Foundation Scholarship program awards undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral scholarships. The number of scholarships varies annually (from 50 to 75), with the amount of the award currently being $2,300 per scholarship. Scholarship funding is secured through a variety of sources, including the organization’s endowment program as well as corporate and individual support.
