WebCT Faculty Tip Sheets


TA Access

TA's have different levels of access than designers and students. A teaching assistant can access Manage Students and any tools or pages that you add to the course, grade assignments and quizzes, change student grades, view course content, post Mail messages and Discussion topics, and add or modify content in Student Presentation areas.

To grant TA access:

  1. From the Control Panel, click Manage Course. The Manage Course screen appears.
  2. Click Manage Teaching Assistants. The Manage Teaching Assistants screen appears.

  3. Under Options: Records, select Add/Import teaching assistants, and click Go. The Add Teaching Assistants screen appears.

  4. Under Import from Global Database, enter the WebCT ID of the person you want to add as a TA.

  5. Click Add. The Manage Teaching Assistants screen appears and the TA is added.

Note: If you do not know the WebCT ID of the person you wish to add, ask that person or contact the Computing Resource Center for assistance.
