Course Menu:
Inserting Blank Spaces Between Links
Your WebCT Course Menu appears either as a dropdown box or in
a gray area to the left of your course. Here, you can add links
to help students navigate through your course. Adding spacers between
the links helps you organize the links into groups.
Here's a tip on how to add blank spaces between links that appear
on the Course Menu.

Step 1: Create blank Organizer Pages for each spacer
- Click on Add Page or Tool
- Click Organizer Page
- For the title, enter any text between
brackets <> as shown below. (Using numbers <1> will help you
keep track of how many spacers to add to the course menu. The
brackets will hide the text between them.

- Choose
to show the link to this item On the
Course Menu only.

- Click Add
Repeat 1-5 to add more spacers
Step 2: Insert spacers between links on the course menu
- Click on Control Panel.
- Click on Course Settings.
- Click on Edit Course Menu.
- Insert blank spacers at the appropriate locations.

Select
one of the boxes with no text next to it found at
the bottom of the list
- Select a number using the pull down menu next to Move
link up by and click Go.

(Repeat steps 1 & 2 if necessary to move the same or another
item)
This action will take into effect immediately. When moving the
spacers, you should see your course menu being modified. There
is no need to save or update this action.
