Continuing Education Scholarships to Advance Industry Women

The UNLV International Gaming Institute is proud to be working in partnership with Global Gaming Women (GGW) to offer Continuing Education Scholarships in 2014, aimed at providing educational opportunities for women in gaming or pursuing a career in the field. The goal of these annual awards is to advance women in the industry by providing continuing education opportunities to women employed privately in the gaming industry or by a government agency responsible for its regulation.

The awards cover the cost of tuition for attending seminars or classes offered in-person and online through IGI and UNLV. UNLV classes must focus on resort or casino subject matter. Due to the availability of online courses, awards are open to women throughout the international gaming community. The Scholarships to be awarded will be in the actual amount of the course selected by the recipient, including related materials, with awards up to maximum amount of $750 for an undergraduate course, $750 for an online course and $1750 for a graduate level course.

The application process has now closed for the 2014 scholarships. Check back in the future for a forthcoming announcement of those who will receive this year's awards.

Money for the GGW Charitable Education Fund is raised through GGW's "Kick Up Your Heels" networking event held annually in Las Vegas in conjunction with Global Gaming Expo. For further information, visit the GGW website.
