UNLV/Las Vegas Sands Sustainable Hospitality Student Challenge
The Las Vegas Sands Corporation has generously donated $50,000 to UNLV to give academic achievement awards to UNLV students who develop winning sustainability projects during the upcoming year in one of three categories: Efficiency; Innovative Technology; and Consulting. Winning projects may be implemented by Las Vegas Sands Corp. at one or more of its properties.
The intent of this competition is for UNLV students to gain hands-on experience in identifying, researching, vetting, and implementing a sustainability project. UNLV students may enter as individuals or as a member of a team. A student may only participate in one entry. The maximum number of students on a team is ten (10). Teams or individuals must register by October 1, 2013. For more information, see the Challenge Rules and Registration Form.
Two information sessions, located in Beam Hall, Room 236, have been scheduled for students to get answers to questions, meet like-minded people, and find team members with a variety of skill sets.
