Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA)

PCMA is a professional association that provides networking opportunities and continuing education for the worldwide meetings and events industry. PCMA serves more than 6,000 members nationally. The UNLV Student Chapter is one of 13 student chapters within the association. The PCMA UNLV Student Chapter partners with the IAEE UNLV Student Chapter for various events and activities to enhance membership value.

Getting Involved

Annual dues are $40 per year for student memberships in the association. Applications are available online or at Dr. Curtis Love’s office (BEH 358).

Who Should Join?

Meetings and events management majors who are interested in supplementing their education will be interested in this club; however, the association is open to any students.

Events

Club Meetings include behind-the-scene tours of meeting spaces, venues, supplier warehouses and trade shows in town as well as networking events. The association’s annual meeting is held in January. The local Southwest & Pacific Professional Chapter holds events throughout the year in Nevada, California, Arizona and Hawaii.
