Master Sergeant Kara Cassidy
Kara Cassidy is a Master Sergeant in the United States Army at Fort Drum, New York. She is currently the Acting Food Service Sergeant Major for the 10th Mountain Infantry Division (LI), overseeing the Food Service Operations for over 15,000 Soldiers.
Prior to her current position, Kara Cassidy served in U.S. Embassy Windhoek, Namibia, U.S. Embassy Nairobi, Kenya, and U.S. Embassy Kyiv, Ukraine. During that time she coordinated support, security, and logistical arrangements for countless senior level U.S. Government visits, including POTUS, VPOTUS, Cabinet officials, Congressional delegations, and senior military officials. During the 2008 Russian invasion of Georgia, she coordinated U.S. military activity and assisted in the evacuation of U.S. citizens from the country.
Kara holds a Bachelors in Professional Management, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture and Design. In addition, she holds a Master of Hospitality Administration degree from the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
