The University of Nevada, Las Vegas Foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises and manages private funds for the benefit of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. These funds enhance the quality of the University and strengthen its missions of teaching, research, and public service.
The essence of a university is found in its leaders, those willing to dedicate their time and effort to the advancement of the campus. A volunteer UNLV Foundation Board of Trustees works with the UNLV president to focus on private funding opportunities in all sectors of campus, in accordance with the Institutional Fundraising Policy.
UNLV and the NSHE Board of Regents have designated the UNLV Foundation as the lead entity in soliciting and accepting all gifts on behalf of the university. The UNLV Foundation complies with NSHE policy, Nevada State law, IRS, and other relevant federal regulations and provides an audited financial report to the Board of Regents annually.
Additionally, the UNLV Foundation is responsible for fundraising practices, as well as acknowledging, receipting, and documenting all gifts received on behalf of UNLV.
