Reduced-tuition programs can decrease out-of-state tuition costs for students who are coming to UNLV from outside of Nevada and who meet certain qualifications. Contact the Office of Admissions.

Alumni Dependent Reduced-Tuition Program
Estimated yearly tuition: $5,558 (savings of more than $9,000)

If you reside out of state and one or both of your parent(s) or legal guardian(s) are UNLV alumni, you may qualify for the Alumni Dependent program.

Good Neighbor Reduced-Tuition Program
Estimated yearly tuition: $7,112 (savings of more than $7,000)

If you are a resident of one of the following California counties, you may apply for the Good Neighbor program: Alpine, El Dorado, Inyo, Lassen, Modoc, Mono, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, San Bernardino, or Sierra. Students from Mohave County, Arizona, are also eligible.

Notwithstanding currently posted tuition and fees, all fees, tuition or other charges which students are required to pay each semester are subject to increase by action of the Board of Regents at any time before the commencement of classes (primarily due to budgetary shortfalls). The amount you are charged at the time of registration is not a final bill and may be increased. You will receive a supplemental invoice for any additional amounts which the Board of Regents may impose.
