The UNLV Department of Sociology “Brown Bag” Talks presents Allen C. Shelton, associate professor of Sociology, Buffalo State College. Dr. Shelton will discuss and read excerpts from his latest book, "Where the North Sea Touches Alabama" (University of Chicago Press, 2013). He will share details about his writing process and answer questions about his book, ethnography, and the art and craft of social research.
