UNLV Wind Orchestra Concert II: Tower Ascending

The Department of Music presents the Wind Orchestra with a guest performance by Green Valley High School's wind ensemble conducted by Diane Koutsulis.

American Band Masterworks will be featured, including "Tower Ascending," Wayne Oquin's landmark new composition.

Conducted by Thomas G. Leslie, this joint concert with the Green Valley High School wind ensemble, conducted by Diane Koutsoulis, featuring guest conductors Edward Lisk, director of bands and music supervisor, ret., Oswego High School bands, Oswego, NY and Col. John Bourgeois, conductor emeritus, U.S. Marine Band, "The President's Own."

Featured works to be performed are "Cuban Overture," by George Gershwin, "Rest," by Frank Ticheli, "The Three Wonders from 'The Tsar Sultan,' by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov "Tower Ascending," Wayne Oquin's landmark new composition.

Admission Information: 

General seating tickets for this event are priced at $10.00 and $8.00, with discounts available for seniors, military, and UNLV faculty and staff. All students will receive one free ticket per valid student ID.
