UNLV Track & Field Classic

The UNLV track & field program will kick off the 2013 outdoor season with its own UNLV Track Classic on Fri., March 1 through Sat., March 2. The two-day event will be hosted on campus at UNLV's Myron Partridge Stadium and Sheila Tarr-Smith Field.
Friday's action gets started at 2:30 p.m. on both the track (distance medley relay) and the field (pole vault). Overall, there will be three other events contested on the track - 5K (3 p.m.), Steeplechase (3:40 p.m.) and 10L (4:15 p.m.). Besides the pole vault, the javelin will take place at 3 p.m. on the field. All of Friday's events will see the women compete before the men.
On Saturday, there will be a total of 15 events taking place with the hammer throw, long jump and high jump getting the field events underway at 10 a.m. The track's first action will be the 4x100m at 11:30 a.m.
Besides UNLV, Southern Utah (men's and women's), Utah Valley (men's and women's), Montana-Billings (men's and women's) and Pasadena CC (men's and women's) as well as some club teams will compete in the meet. Christine Spence, a former Rebel track & field alumna will participate as well.
Spectator general admission tickets are $5.00 at the track entrance.
UNLV faculty, staff and students are free with Rebel Card ID.
