University Forum: A Visit with President Harry S. Truman

Join the College of Liberal Arts in the University Forum Lecture, "A Visit with President Harry S. Truman" a talk by Noel H. Pugach, emeritus professor of history, University of New Mexico.
Dr. Pugach has been impersonating President Truman for over 25 years. During his visit, President Truman will discuss his presidency, with an emphasis on foreign affairs: the decision to drop the Atomic Bomb, the evolution of the Cold War, the recognition of Israel, the Korean War, and the firing of General MacArthur. He will also touch upon his initiatives in Civil Rights. Truman frames his conversation around the theme of presidential leadership (not afraid to make “tough decisions”).
