University Forum Lecture: Is the Internet Alive?

Please join the College of Liberal Arts in the University Forum Lecture "Is the Internet Alive? And Why Does it Matter?" a talk by Michael J. Savoie, director, Center for Information, Technology, and Management, The University of Texas at Dallas.
This talk asks whether we should consider the internet to be alive. The presentation starts with a basic definition of life and asks whether the internet would meet these criteria. It then discusses why defining the internet as alive or not is important to organizations and individuals. The presentation ends with a projection of the continued evolution of the development of the intelligent network.
