Join the College of Liberal Arts in the University Forum Lecture "Find Your Om: A Yoga/Meditation Approach to Stress and Success," a talk by Linda Lister, director of opera theater/assistant professor, Department of Music, UNLV.
In today’s high-tech/high-stress world, the ancient practices of yoga and meditation provide proven ways to combat the primitive fight-or flight response. Yoga can calm and focus the mind, nurture physical and mental well-being and bolster success in modern society, be it at work or at home. Scientific studies are revealing how the centuries-old mind-body practice of yoga is empowering people to reduce anxiety and increase creativity in the digital overload of the 21st century.
This event is free and open to the public.
