Campus Location: Marjorie Barrick Museum / Harry Reid Center
Office/Remote Location: Auditorium
Please join the College of Liberal Arts for the University Forum Lecture " Birds of Prey of the American West," a talk by Martin Tyner, master falconer, licensed wildlife rehabilitator, educator and author, Southwest Wildlife Foundation.
This talk will provide a very enjoyable and humane look into the world of raptors. Tonight’s speaker will guide his audience through an overview of the amazing world of wildlife rescue and environmental action. Much of his talk will be supplemented by simultaneous slides and video clips of the various birds of prey that he is discussing. But the most innovative part of his presentation will involve introducing the audience to one of his great rescues: a live Golden Eagle that Mr. Tyner will bring to the stage to better illustrate the numerous points that he is making. All of the birds that he works with are rescues.
This event is free and open to the public.
