The Center for Business and Economic Research (CBER) of the Lee Business School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) announces its annual Southern Nevada Midyear Economic Outlook Conference.
The conference will feature three distinguished speakers from UNLV. CBER director and professor of economics, Stephen P. A. Brown, will address topics, such as tourism and gaming, employment, construction, and housing. He will also present the U.S. and Southern Nevada economic outlook. Neal Smatresk, president of UNLV, will talk on UNLV's role in the growth of the Nevada economy. Robert E. Lang, executive director of The Lincy Institute and director of Brookings Mountain West at UNLV, will address the future of the Southern Nevada economy. Attendees will receive a copy of Brown's presentation and continental breakfast.
