Service Learning Forum

When: Apr. 26, 2013, 10:30am - 1pm
Campus Location: Student Union
Office/Remote Location: Room 208

You are invited to a forum to network with like-minded people, share your experience with service learning, and explore potential partnerships among UNLV faculty, non-profit and public organizations in our local community.

During this event, participants will engage in dialogue to explore many aspects of potential service learning projects.  Our design is to discuss both curricular and community needs, to develop strategies and future partnerships that address both course outcomes and community needs.

During lunch, you will hear about the support services the Office of Civic Engagement & Diversity provides to help facilitate incorporating service learning into classrooms and how our staff will solicit service opportunities and provide volunteers.

Our goal is for participants to leave the event having laid the foundation for mutually beneficial partnerships that can impact the Las Vegas valley and our students in the classroom.

Admission Information:

The Service Learning Forum is open to UNLV faculty, non-profits and community organization members.

To be a part of the conversation, please RSVP by Tue., April 23 at 5 p.m.
