Description

This week long program was developed for security directors, managers and supervisors to improve leadership and operational skills for today’s security professional. The course is designed for the new or seasoned manager to enhance their management abilities in a variety of areas important to the successful operation of a gaming security function.

DAY 1: Managing a Casino Security Department

  • The challenging aspects of administration
  • Cost saving and managing capital budgets
  • Conducting an internal risk assessment
  • Vulnerability and threat assessments
  • Effective security leadership and communication

 

DAY 2: Operational Security Techniques

  • Patrol tactics and effective gaming patrol
  • Managing security at special events and venues
  • Public relations and minimizing customer complaints

 

DAY 3: Developing Policies and Procedures and Professional Staff Training

  • Legal standards of care
  • Emergency operations and critical response planning
  • Maintaining a well trained staff
  • Developing and implementing an effective training program

 

DAY 4: Reporting, Documentation and Conducting Investigations

  • Effective documentation techniques
  • Report writing skills
  • Conducting investigations

 

DAY 5 (Half Day): Trends and the Future of Security

  • Current and future technology
  • Electronic patrol and reporting
  • Trends in casino crime
