School of Life Sciences Seminar: Laurel Raftery

UNLV Associate Professor Laurel Raftery will be the featured speaker at a School of Life Sciences seminar. Her talk is titled, "I am (mostly) a Drosophilist."

Raftery's lab studies how cells communicate to coordinate the formation of functioning organs. They use fruit flies as a model organism, because of the powerful genetic tools available to study cell biology in whole tissues.
