Ashley Egan, assistant professor at East Carolina University, will be the featured speaker at a School of Life Sciences seminar. Her talk is titled, "Evolutionary Genetics and Genomics of Phaseoloid Legumes."
Egan's passion centers on understanding the planet's biodiversity and the evolutionary patterns and processes that have shaped it. She is interested in the broad disciplines of evolutionary biology, molecular evolution, bioinformatics, population genetics, phylogenetics, comparative genomics, and plant systematics.
