The Russell Frank Astronomy Lecture

The UNLV Department of Physics and Astronomy present the first Russell Frank Astronomy Lecture. Professor John A. Johnson from the California Institute of Technology will present, "Hot on the Trail of Warm Planets Orbiting Cool Stars."

The lecture presents some early results that point the way to the first detection of an Earth-sized planet in the habitable zone of a star.
