Description

The Lincy Institute at UNLV is pleased to host a forum for the Las Vegas community on "Nevada College Governance and Workforce Alignment." The forum will focus on college governance structures and identify policy recommendations to improve two-year college and workforce development outcomes.

The forum will feature Dr. Richard Richardson, professor emeritus of higher education from the New York University. Dr. Richardson's recent studies have examined policy and higher education performance, structural designs, and systemic change for state higher education systems. Dr. Richardson is the author or co-author of several books, including: "Designing State Higher Education Systems for a New Century," "Achieving Quality and Diversity: Universities in a Multicultural Society," "Fostering Minority Access and Achievement in Higher Education, Governance for the Two-Year College" and "The Two-Year College: A Social Synthesis."

In addition, The Lincy Institute researchers in partnership with other scholars will discuss their recommendation for a new college governance structure for the state of Nevada.

Morning refreshments will be served from 8:30-9 a.m. in the lobby of Greenspun Hall and the program will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and conclude by Noon.
