Juanita Greer White Distinguished Lecture Series
When: Feb. 14, 2013, 7pm - 8pmCampus Location: Science and Engineering Building
Office/Remote Location: Auditorium

Professor Evan DeLucia from the School of Integrative Biology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign will be the featured speaker at the 2013 Juanita Greer White Distinguished Lecture Series.
His talk is titled, "Where Earth Meets Sky: How Changing Land Use Affects Climate."
DeLucia’s research examines how changes in land use associated with the burgeoning bioenergy economy affects greenhouse gases. He will demonstrate that bioenergy crops can provide a substantial portion of U.S. transportation fuel and dramatically reduce emissions of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. Managing land to provide a sustainable mix of food, fuel, and fiber without decimating biodiversity is an increasingly important challenge.
Admission is free but a ticket is required.
Free tickets are available from the School of Life Sciences (WHI 101)
