More than 50 years after the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the tragedy is still creating controversy among journalists, authors and historians.
“The Last Word on the Assassination” brings together a panel of noted JFK authors and researchers for a discussion and webcast on the assassination. Moderated by longtime TV host and producer John Barbour, the event will focus on an investigation launched by former New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison, the only law enforcement official to ever bring someone to trial for the murder of President Kennedy.
Barbour will also screen his award-winning film, “The JFK Assassination: The Jim Garrison Tapes,” which Barbour calls “the greatest story never told.”
Event panelists include:
- Dick Russell, co-author of Jesse Ventura's “They Killed Our President” and “The Man Who Knew Too Much” on the JFK assassination
- Joan Mellen, a professor at Temple University and author of “A Farewell To Justice: Jim Garrison, JFK’s Assassination, and the Case That Should Have Changed History ”
- Jim Marrs, author of “Crossfire: The Plot That Killed Kennedy,” a book used as the foundation for the Oliver Stone film JFK.
If you can't make it to this event, you can still watch the live webcast at 7 p.m. on Jan. 31
