Description

The Lincy Institute at UNLV and its partner the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce are pleased to host a forum on "Investing in Our Children's Future: Adequacy Studies and K-12 Education in Nevada." The forum will focus on the progress and results of The Lincy Institute's commissioned studies that detail the components of an adequate education for K-12 students in Nevada.

The forum will feature two research presentations. Dr. Anna Lukemeyer, professor at UNLV and an expert on education finance, along with Dr. Wen

Wang, professor at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, will present their cost function analysis approach. Additionally, Mr. Justin Silverstein and a team of researchers from Augenblick, Palaich and Associates will present their adequacy study findings.

A community panel will provide comments on the presentations.

Registration and refreshments will begin at 8 a.m. The program will start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude by 11 a.m.
