Gyeonggi Dance Company of Korea

The Korean Cultural Center of Los Angeles presents the world famous Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Troupe, direct from Korea, on Korean Cultural Day in Las Vegas. The Gyeonggi Company will feature 46 dancers and authentic traditional costuming in a performance entitled "The Moon." Established in 1993, the Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Company is representative of Korean traditional dance serves as a leader in the development and refinement of the art. Particularly noteworthy is the company's unique blend of traditional and modern Korean Dance.

"The Moon" will feature such traditional Korean favorites as the Comic Mask Dance, the Dream of Peach, the Hourglass Drum Dance, and the Tae-Kwon Dance.

Under the leadership of Producing Artistic Director, Cho Heung-Dong, the foremost role of the company is to activate regional culture while exploring the creativity rooted in the Korean experience inherent in Gyeonggi province. Established in 1993, the Gyeonggi company has performed internationally, with appearances in the U.S., Spain, China and Japan.
