When: Feb. 27, 2013, 7pm - 8pmOffice/Remote Location: REI - The District - 2220 Village Walk Dr., Henderson, 89052
UNLV Continuing Education will visit the Galapagos Archipelago April 26 - May 8, 2014. The Galapagos Islands are a small, rocky archipelago 500 miles off the coast of Ecuador. Isolated from the mainland for millions of years, the islands are home to an abundance of unique wildlife. You will cruise to pristine islands and walk among colonies of animals and birds unfazed by your presence. Observe magnificent Galapagos marine iguana, experience up-close encounters with nesting flightless cormorants, watch the magnificent frigate bird, and blue footed boobies in their courtship display, and snorkel amid tropical fish, sea turtles, sea lions, and penguins.
Join the Trip Leaders Margaret N. Rees and Sharon K. Schafer for an entertaining and educational multimedia program to learn more about this UNLV trip to the Galapagos Islands.
Free and open to the public.
