Does It Matter If Jesus Was Married? A Conversation with Karen King, Bart Ehrman, and Mark Jordan.

In 2012, Harvard’s Hollis Professor of Divinity, Karen King, shocked the Christian world by revealing an ancient papyrus text in which Jesus refers to his “wife.” King will join two other renowned biblical scholars, Bart
Ehrman and Mark Jordan, to discuss the underlying question: What would a married Christ mean for the theology, practices, and politics of Christian traditions as they grapple with changing times? Bart D. Ehrman is a distinguished professor at UNC-Chapel Hill and the author of the New York Times best sellers "Misquoting Jesus" and "Forged," as well as the popular "Truth and Fiction in the Da Vinci Code." A distinguished professor at Washington University, Saint Louis, Mark D. Jordan’s most recent book is "Recruiting Young Love: How Christians Talk about Homosexuality." Karen L. King’s many books include "The Gospel of Mary of Magdala" and "Reading Judas."
