The Council of African-American Professionals at UNLV (CAAP@UNLV) promotes diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency, with a particular focus on black and African-American faculty, staff, administrators, and students at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and issues that affect our professional development and career advancement.

Membership in CAAP is open to UNLV faculty, professional staff, and administrators, who either self-identify as black or African American or who identify with CAAP’s vision and mission.

CAAP activities are coordinated by a Steering Committee, whose membership is based on a formula that is intended to ensure diversity of status, including various categories of faculty and professional staff, and campus-wide institutional representation among the members of the Steering Committee.
