Brookings Mountain Lecture: William Frey

Brookings Mountain West presents “Migration Swing and the Intermountain West?” a talk by William Frey, Senior Fellow, Metropolitan Policy Program.

This presentation will offer an analysis of recent migration patterns in the Intermountain West in order to offer a better understanding of the demographic constituencies that now populate this region, and the political and social implications for future generations. The impact of the Great Recession of 2008 will be considered, as will projections for future migration patterns and trends in these states, which are marked by large metropolitan regions and distinctly rural areas.
