Francisco Muller-Sanchez from UCLA will be the featured speaker at a Department of Physics and Astronomy colloquium. His talk is titled, "Mapping Sub-kpc Gas Flows in Nearby AGN"."
Over the last few years we have been pursuing a program to investigate the physical mechanisms of feeding and feedback in nearby AGN using Adaptive Optics assisted integral-field spectroscopy. This work has shown that we can model the narrow-line and coronal-line region (NLR/CLR) kinematics as a combination of rotating and outflowing components.
