Arbor Day Tree Planting

When: Apr. 26, 2013, 11am - 12:30pm
Campus Location: Juanita Greer White Life Sciences
Office/Remote Location: Sidewalk on north side of White Hall

We are looking for students, faculty, and staff who would like to help plant trees to provide a shade canopy over campus sidewalks for years to come.  We will be planting beautiful Raywood Ash trees to provide summer shade and fall color.

The tree planting will take place at 11 a.m. on Arbor Day, Fri., April 26.  We will meet on the northeast side of White Hall.

UNLV facilities management will provide trees to be planted to help maintain our Tree Campus USA status.  All holes will be pre-dug by the landscape and grounds staff; volunteers will help place the trees in the holes and backfill with soil.  The grounds department will provide gloves and all necessary tools for this project, as well as water for hydration.

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty (e.g., T-shirt, jeans, sweatshirt/sweatpants) and closed-toed shoes.
