Anthropology Colloquium: Dr. Coren Apicella

The Anthropology Department is pleased to announce a Colloquium on Monday, March 4. Dr. Coren Apicella, of the Department of Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, will be giving a talk entitled, "Origins of Economic, Social, and Attractiveness Preferences: Insights from Hadza Hunter-Gatherers." Dr. Apicella works with the Hadza hunter gatherers of Tanzania as well as western populations, often doing comparative studies. Her research foci include mate selection and attraction, behavioral endocrinology, behavior genetics, sex differences, behavioral economics, evolutionary psychology, and social networks and the evolution of cooperation.
