When

Sep. 19, 2014, 9am to 2pm

Description

The UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law will host the fourth annual Public Interest Law Film Festival at UNLV's Marjorie Barrick Museum and the law school. This year's theme is "Electoral Ideals and Realities: Democracy, Influence, and Participation." Join us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act and Voting Rights Act and to discuss ideals and realities of the democratic process in the context of documentary film.

The event will feature community leaders, scholars, filmmakers, and critics; "Blueberry Soup," a documentary film by Eileen Jerrett; "Freedom Summer," a film by award-winning filmmaker Stanley Nelson; and short films focusing on voting and elections.
