2013 NSHE Southern Nevada Diversity Summit

Join the Nevada System of Higher Education, CSN, DRI, NSC and UNLV for this year's Southern Nevada Diversity Summit titled "Building Strong Minority Serving Institutions in Nevada to Enhance Student Success."

Breakout sessions topics will include: MSI Challenges/Strengths for Student Success & Faculty Engagement, Minorities in STEM: Connections to MSI, and Community Engagement.

Invited Keynote Speakers and Presenters Include:

  • Congressman Steven Horsford, District 4
  • Congresswoman Dina Titus, District 1
  • Dr. James Hicks, National Science Foundation (NSF)
  • Commissioner Semilla Neal, NV Commission on Minority Affairs
  • Mr. Ruddys E. Andrade, associate vice president of academic affairs, grants & sponsored programs, New Jersey City University
  • Ms. Erica M. Romero, executive director of western states, legislative affairs, Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU).

This event is free and open to the public. 

Seating is limited to 300 and registration is required.
