Proposal and Award Activities
The faculty of Howard R. Hughes College of Engineering continuously seek to expand the research and educational programs of the college through external funding. Current funding comes from federal and local agencies as well as the industry.
Dr. Woosoon Yim (left) and his students have developed a magnetic shock absorber with variable damping ratio. This shock absorber can be an effective means for protecting sensitive electronic equipment within military vehicles.
