Receiving Overview

Central Receiving Departments mission is to ensure accurate receipt, inventory, and prompt distribution of all merchandise received, and also to provide quality expedient processing of outgoing shipments.

The purpose of Central Receiving is to provide a central point of delivery for goods purchased by the University to facilitate the efficient delivery by carriers and to facilitate the issuance of necessary receiving reports.

Central Receiving is responsible for the receipt and distribution of all official incoming shipments and freight to the appropriate campus departments. Central Receiving does not receive materials for the Bookstore, Sodexho Food Services, Thomas and Mack Center, or any contractor working on the UNLV campus.
