The UNLV Archaeological Collections Department
stores and curates archaeological field data from dozens of surveys and excavations conducted by the department over the past several decades.

It is the mission of the Collections Committee to curate and manage all archaeological collections both temporarily and permanently stored at the Anthropology Department in order to facilitate research and enrich class material. These collections serve the needs of researchers and students at UNLV.

Several of the excavations and surveys conducted by the UNLV Anthropology Department are featured in an on going effort to find new ways to make data available for basic research.
