Upon completing a Minor in Environmental Studies, a student will be able to:
- Understand and apply fundamental theories from the natural and social sciences to environmental issues and identify multiple dimensions of environmental issues.
- Identify technical and socioeconomic trade-offs associated with diverse approaches to environmental management.
- Demonstrate the ability to locate and access information on an environmental issue.
There are many alternative career paths for students pursuing a minor in Environmental Studies. Career paths are usually based upon major and work related experiences (jobs, internships, undergraduate research opportunities etc.). The minor is an opportunity for students to further advance ones academic experiences and hence career opportunities.
