Master of Arts in Science
The Master of Arts in Science is a nonthesis degree designed to allow students to increase their knowledge base in two different fields of science. Traditional and nontraditional students interested in pursuing or advancing science-related careers will discover a host of new opportunities after completing the program. Secondary science teachers who enroll in the program will be better prepared to face classroom challenges with a broad science background. The mission of this interdisciplinary science degree program is teach science content to local K-12 teachers, especially middle school and high school teachers.
- Understanding of a major field of sciences at the level of rigor appropriate to graduate courses in the major field.
- Understanding of a minor field of science at the level of rigor appropriate to graduate courses in the minor field.
- Completion of a professional paper.*
