College Tournament

The Las Vegas Classic Invitational Collegiate Debate Tournament quickly is becoming one of the best and biggest policy debate tournaments in America. Registration for the Las Vegas Classic occurs at the iDebate tabroom.

High School Tournament

The Ted Belch Golden Desert High School Debate Tournament at UNLV is one of the biggest and best high school debate tournaments on the West Coast. We host all formats of debate, including Policy Debate, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate, and Student Congress. It's a "quarters bid" to the Tournament of Champions (TOC) in both Policy Debate and Public Forum, it's a "semis bid" to the TOC in Lincoln-Douglas Debate, and it's a finals bid to the TOC in Student Congress. Registration for and information about the Golden Desert Tournament appears on The Joy of Tournaments website.

In 2009, UNLV hosted the National Forensic League High School Speech and Debate National Championship Tournament and the National Debate Coaches Association (NDCA) National Championship Tournament. We have plans to host the NDCA Championships again in the near future.
