Rebel Debate Institute
The Sanford I. Berman Debate Forum is proud to offer one of the best and most cost effective debate camps in America. Students with a wide range of experience will benefit from our intensive two or three-week training sessions in policy debate research, theory, and practice. The Rebel Debate Institute is held on the UNLV campus in July and August. In 2016, we will offer two tracks for our students, one in traditional policy argumentation and research and one focusing on arguments and scholarship about disability and ableism. Both tracks will compete against one another in the culminating camp tournament. Students work closely with the coaching staff and members of UNLV’s nationally recognized, award-winning Sanford I. Berman Debate Forum. This year, for the first time ever, the RDI also will offer a 10-day commuter-only camp for Lincoln-Douglas (LD) debaters. LD students will work with Tim Alderete, the nationally successful director and LD coach at the Meadows School.
Registration for the 2016 Rebel Debate Institute is now closed. Please stay tuned for information regarding the 2017 Rebel Debate Institute.
