Mojave Max Project
The Mojave Max Education Project is an enhanced educational experience coordinated by the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area.
College interns and volunteers from the community are trained and placed in Clark County schools to teach students about the endangered desert tortoise.
UNLV students are eligible to receive one to three credits (BIO 492), or participate as a volunteer. Graduate credit (BIO 730A) is also possible.
