This program is designed for college-seeking high school students to spend the day at UNLV and learn what it is like to be a Rebel! Students will have the opportunity to take a campus tour, meet current students and staff, and learn about campus resources and activities. Parents are also encouraged to attend with their student.
Rebel Reading Challenge
The Rebel Reading Challenge is a 30-day program designed to motivate local fourth and fifth grade students to read. The program kicks off with a celebration at the Thomas & Mack Center in the Fall. The winning classrooms earn the chance to watch a Runnin' Rebel basketball game.
New UNLV students in the College of Sciences are invited to come to campus, meet with advisors and, register for classes.
Rebel Welcome Day
Rebel Welcome Day welcomes new students to UNLV before classes begin. Students meet with their respective colleges for a welcome and then are invited to a barbeque with the president.
Rebels Give Back
The on-campus event, which is held once per semester, partners UNLV with six community agencies to promote service opportunities in Las Vegas.

Returning Student Assistance Program
The Returning Student Assistance Program helps students interested in attending UNLV after they have been out of high school for some time, or those who have attended UNLV and/or other colleges in the past and want to re-enroll at UNLV. Advisors from UNLV’s Academic Success Center assist students with the re-admission process as well as discuss goals and possible majors. They help students attain their educations goals by guiding them through each step and by making appropriate referrals to other organizations.
Roads Scholars (formerly known as Exploritas and Elderhostel)
Road Scholars is a Boston-based national and international program to learn while travelling. Its mission is to empower adults to explore the world’s places, peoples, cultures and ideas, and in so doing to discover more about themselves. The program brings together instructors and participants from diverse backgrounds to foster dynamic interaction, engaging discourse and warm camaraderie. Through the Division of Educational Outreach, adults can experience the wonders of Nevada, Arizona, Utah and other sites.
