Institute for Security Studies
The Institute for Security Studies is the core of the university’s homeland security and counterterrorism education, research, and policy analysis activities. The institute is composed of highly skilled engineers, scientists, and trainers. They offer state-of-the-art training programs and develop engineering solutions to address national security-related challenges. ISS also brings subject matter expertise, project management experience, research skills, and outreach capabilities to the realms of law enforcement, emergency management, and energy security.
International Baccalaureate Scholar Achievement Dinner
International Baccalaureate students are recognized for their academic achievements at the achievement dinner. The students and their parents meet with the president, deans, faculty members, and advisors from UNLV.
International Student Teaching Program
International Student Teaching Program offers opportunities to student teach abroad. Over the past 10 years, the College of Education program has placed students in England, France, Ireland, Germany, New Zealand, Australia, Costa Rica, and Mexico. Programs are available throughout the year. Academic credits earned in in the programs are part of regular course offerings.
