Goals and Purposes

The Center for Urban Partnerships is an interdisciplinary organization whose purpose is to develop, coordinate, implement, support, and publicize collaborative projects within the community. A primary goal is to make CUP a nationally visible center for research, training, and collaborative partnerships focusing primarily on urban issues. The Center casts a wide net with respect to focal populations and promotes developmental studies and action-oriented program development across the lifespan.

Consistent with its overall mission, the specific objectives and goals of the Center’s activities encompass basic and applied research in five core areas:

  • Program Development: Dr Ashley and Dr. Markos
  • Program Evaluation
  • Training and Dissemination
